Create in me a clean heart, oh God

 "The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."
Luke 6:45 NIV

My dear friend Erin, recently made a post about the infamous book, "50 Shades of Grey"
It's beautifully written, and proclaims why Christians should stray from their eyes reading the pages of this book. I highly suggest taking a few moments to read it.
I'm not here to talk about the book specifically; but I am here to express what has been on my heart lately...and that's how our actions and words express the feelings of our heart. Specifically, the things that our hearts are exposed too, very well are the things that we express...

Don't be like the rest of them, my sweet friend.

Don't let your heart be influenced by the evil in this world...

Don't speak words of hurt...

 Don't waste your weekend being wasted...

Don't listen to impure words...

Don't dress to evoke desire like so many other women strive to do...

Don't read or watch things that are full of sin... {Phillipians 4:8}

Don't stand by as others do wrong...

Instead, my sweet friends...Pinned Image

...Let your heart be filled with the words and love of your Savior

...Speak words of love and kindness

...Remember and cherish the precious moments God has given you

 ...Fill your ears with kindness and joy

...Dress to impress, be classy, honor God with your body

 ...Turn your heart and mind to things that are noble, pure {Phillipians 4:8}

  ...Stand up for what you believe to be right, share with others the truth that you possess

Surround yourself with things that are noble and pure.
Things that promote a sanctified and Godly life.
If you surround yourselves with such things, more chances than not your lips will speak lovely things; and your actions will represent the God that you serve.

Don't be like them the example.
Show others the pure heart that you possess.
Surround yourself with things that promote the pure heart that God creates in you!

I read a devotion the other day about "having a pure heart"
A reminder that God is the only one that truly knows our hearts.
With that knowledge, let's make a daily effort to fill it with things that please him. Let us use our pure hearts to be a representation of him, and spread the wonderful message that we possess! :)

The Lord knows our heart.  This can be a scary thing for we all know sin lurks in our heart. We can look good on the outside but inside we are self-serving and self-centered.  Jesus condemns this hypocrisy, “You honor me with your lips, but your hearts are far from me” (Mark 7:6).  We must pray with King David, “Create in me a clean heart, O God” (Psalm 51:10).

The Lord knows your heart.  This is a marvelous thing when the Lord Jesus has come with his love and forgiveness to your heart. (Ephesians 3:16-19)  For while the exterior resume may not be all that impressive, what God desires is a heart that loves and trusts in Jesus.

God has given you the right heart to live and proclaim Jesus every day of your lives.  As you go about your day today, let the love of Jesus fill your heart.  Let the love of Jesus flow from your heart!

Lord, you know my heart.  Cleanse it from sin.  Fill it with your love.  Empower it to love you and others today.  Amen.

May Sponsor Love

One of my motto's in life::

"Better late than never!"

And this motto is no exception when it comes to my May Sponsors!
Let's just say that I've saved the best for last!
Golly, I'm just full of cliche sayings tonight?!

Anyways, there are some crazy cool ladies that I have Swap Sponsored with this month, and it would make me so very happy if you stopped by their blog and said hey. TRUST ME, they are FABULOUS! :)
So, without further adieu, here are my May Sponsor ladies!

Elizabeth from Fearless and Frugal

{About Me} Hey everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I’m a 20-something recent college grad getting ready to start grad school. I love writing, trying new things and saving money (who doesn’t, right?) I’m obsessed with organizing, drinking coffee and listening to country music. I have a new found love for the outdoors, old movies, crafting and cooking. I’m a yoga enthusiast and have just recently started Pilates (which I love!).

{About My Blog} After the summer of 2011 I found myself with an overwhelming number of credits to take my final year of college so I had to quit my job of 2+ years. Although I had spent my entire summer working and taking classes, I still found time to shop, vacation and spend way too much money. At the end of the summer I was hit with a wake up call -- despite all the hours I had put in at work, my bank account was devastatingly low. I realized I couldn't spend like I had been any longer.

Now I’m finding it more important than ever to save money. I thought that by starting my blog, I could share my tips and tricks I've developed and learned along the way to help others who were living on a budget, or just trying to save a buck or two here and there! I am by no means an expert (I'm studying history and then going on to grad school to be a teacher), but I have developed and adapted a lot of tricks that work for me. I also want to offer a few health, beauty, fitness and other tips as well! Come visit me at Fearless & Frugal! :)

Leigh Anne from Hart to Heart

Hello Readers! I'm Leigh Anne from Hart to Heart and I am so happy to be swapping with Rachel this month. I started blogging in February of this year as a way to pass time during my husbands deployment to Afghanistan. I never thought that blogging would open so many doors as well as allow me to develop so many new friendships. Needless to say, I love blogging! I have a passion for fitness and I am perusing my certification in personal training. I also am in the homestretch of my undergrad degree in Liberal Arts; graduation is less than 2 months away! When I catch a free moment between blogging, working out, studying and spending time with my family I also run an Etsy shop Hart to Heart Designs! Come on over to my blog and learn a little about, me, living in Alaska, being an Army wife, my dog that acts like a cat, and my passion for fitness! I can't wait to meet you!

Wickedly Wost In Wikipedia........................

So the other day we had a Galactic Alignment of sorts at the gym.  My main man Dan and I finished our workouts at the same time, and we got to take a steam together (#NoHomo).  This rarely occurs, since our schedules are very, VERY uncoordinated, but when it does, we get to have ourselves a nice long chat during an extended “shvitz”.  Now normally when this happens, the routine is quite simple.  We change, grab towels and hit the steam room, where we immediately spend a brief period of time checking out each other’s endowments.  My look is often one of amazement, while his gaze says something along the lines of, “ya, I suppose you can call that a penis”.  We than discuss three things; broads we have banged are banging or want to bang, philosophy, and finally basketball.  In fact, we talk so extensively about what’s going on in the NBA, that it would be nice if we could somehow find a way to get paid to display our collective NBA knowledge and understanding, but apparently that’s just not going to happen anytime soon, oh well.  Now on this particular day I was running really late, and Dan, as well as the rest of the universe realized this.  You see, Dan is one of those guys that will show up at the gym daily, but on no particular routine.  He will come in at night, in the morning, during the afternoon, whenever he gets around to it.  Whereas you can literally set your watch by the time I walk in the gym, and by the time I leave.  So when I came in three or four hours later than normal, Dan questioned why, and I told him simply, I was lost in Wikipedia.  I figured I was going to have to explain what that meant, but with only slight hesitation (manly because he had to readjust his towel so I couldn’t continue to stare at his balls), he said “Shit, I do that all the time!”  We got to talking more about it, and it appears that besides a history of promiscuity, a love for hoops, and a passion for philosophy, we also have the wonderful world of Wikipedia as a common interest.

Now, getting lost in Wikipedia should be pretty easy to understand, but for those having a hard time following along, I’ll explain further.  You launch Wikipedia, go look up what it is you want to look up, and when something interesting comes along that is hyper linked, click it, read on that, and repeat.  You’d be surprised where you end up, and essentially how much time you killed doing this fundamental little thing we smrt people call learning.  (Calm down typo Nazis that one was done for comedic effect).  I’m now going to spend the next three hours going through this routine, abbreviate it all in one tidy little blog, and demonstrate the fruits that can be gathered when you have nothing to do.  I’ll start with my favorite baseball player of all time, I’ll make a few notes, show what captivated me, and we will see where we go from there.  Are you ready?   Let’s go……….
Babe Ruth;

George Herman Ruth, Jr. (February 6, 1895 – August 16, 1948), best known as "Babe" Ruth and nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", was an American baseball player who spent 22 seasons in Major League Baseball.
Blah blah blah…….  Yeah yeah, I know all about the stats and records, find me something I don’t already know will you.   Hmmmm, wait, what’s this?  Babe was in the movies as well?  I did not know that.

His first film appearance occurred in 1920, in the silent movie Headin' Home.
I don’t know much about silent movies, let’s go there.

A silent film is a film with no synchronized sound or dialogue.  Dialogue is transmitted through muted gestures, pantomime and title cards. The idea of combining motion pictures with recorded sound is nearly as old as film itself, but because of the technical challenges involved, synchronized dialogue was only made practical in the late 1920s with the perfection of the audion amplifier tube and the introduction of the Vitaphone system.

Vitaphone system was basically an old school version of the record player of sorts, I knew that, but what was the other component?
Audion Amplifier Tube;

The Audion is an electronic amplifying vacuum tube invented by Lee De Forest in 1906. It was the forerunner of the triode, in which the current from the filament to the plate was controlled by a third element, the grid. A small amount of power applied to the grid could control a larger current from the filament to the plate, allowing the Audion both to detect radio signals (that is, make them audible) and to provide amplification. However, De Forest's Audion is quite distinct from the true vacuum triode in that it is not capable of linear amplification.
Cool, so this thing made sound possible in movies, but what the hell is linear amplification?

In electronics, the linear operating region of a device, for example a transistor, is where a dependent variable (such as the transistor collector current) is directly proportional to an independent variable (such as the base current). This ensures that an analog output is an accurate representation of an input, typically with higher amplitude (amplified). A typical example of linear equipment is a high fidelity audio amplifier, which must amplify a signal without changing its waveform. Others are linear filters, linear regulators, and linear amplifiers in general.

Okay, that’s cool shit right there.  But what’s the difference between a dependent variable and an independent variable again?  Let’s see……..

The terms "dependent variable" and "independent variable" are used in similar but subtly different ways in mathematics and statistics as part of the standard terminology in those subjects. They are used to distinguish between two types of quantities being considered, separating them into those available at the start of a process and those being created by it, where the latter (dependent variables) are dependent on the former (independent variables).
Right, ok, I’m up to speed, I think.  Can we get an example of this, though?   Just in case.

Using nutrition as a simplified example; the independent variable of daily vitamin C intake (how much vitamin C one consumes) can influence the dependent variable of life expectancy (the average age one attains).
Got it, so life span doesn’t influence vitamin C, it’s the other way around.  Dependent/independent. Vitamin C, we get that shit from oranges, right?

Vitamin C or L-ascorbic acid or L-ascorbate is an essential nutrient for humans and certain other animal species. In living organisms ascorbate acts as an antioxidant by protecting the body against oxidative stress.

Hmmmmm……     Oxidative stress, I think I may have that.  But I’m not sure, so let’s just check real quickly.
Oxidative stress;

Oxidative stress represents an imbalance between the systemic manifestation of reactive oxygen species and a biological system's ability to readily detoxify the reactive intermediates or to repair the resulting damage. Disturbances in the normal redox state of cells can cause toxic effects through the production of peroxides and free radicals that damage all components of the cell, including proteins, lipids, and DNA. Further, some reactive oxidative species act as cellular messengers in redox signaling. Thus, oxidative stress can cause disruptions in normal mechanisms of cellular signaling

In humans, oxidative stress is thought to be involved in the development of many diseases or may exacerbate their symptoms. These include cancer, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, heart failure, myocardial infarction, Schizophrenia; Bipolar disorder, fragile X syndrome, Sickle Cell Disease, and chronic fatigue syndrome. However, reactive oxygen species can be beneficial, as they are used by the immune system as a way to attack and kill pathogens. Short-term oxidative stress may also be important in prevention of aging by induction of a process named “mitohormesis”.
Ok, so maybe I don’t have that.  I thought I did for a second.  Hey, sickle cell, isn’t that what the guy from Mobb Deep had?

Sickle-cell Disease;

Sickle-cell Disease is an autosomal recessive genetic blood disorder with over dominance, characterized by red blood cells that assume an abnormal, rigid, sickle shape. Sickling decreases the cells' flexibility and results in a risk of various complications. The sickling occurs because of a mutation in the hemoglobin gene. Life expectancy is shortened. In 1994, in the US, the average life expectancy of persons with this condition was estimated to be 42 years in males and 48 years in females, but today, thanks to better management of the disease, patients can live into their 50s or beyond.

So progress has been made in that field in the last almost 20 years, that’s good to hear.  Safe to assume a fair bit of money has appropriately been filtered into sickle cell research.  The guy from Mobb Deep probably really appreciates it.  Wait, which one had it?  What was his name?
Mobb Deep;

Mobb Deep is an American Hip-Hop duo from Queensbridge, New York, that consists of Havoc and Prodigy. The duo is "one of the most critically acclaimed hardcore East Coast Hip-Hop groups ever".  The group is best known for its dark, hardcore delivery as exemplified by the single "Shook Ones Pt. II". Mobb Deep have become one of the most successful rap duos in Hip Hop having sold over three million records.

Prodigy, that’s it.  Yeah, I bet he’s glad about the sickle cell research that’s going on.  Oh shit, three hours is up, back to the blog………..

And that’s that.  3 plus hours of getting lost in Wikipedia on a rainy day.  We started with Babe Ruth, and ended with Mobb Deep.  Two topics that may not be all too interesting to that many people but look at all the things that got covered in between.  Now, are we experts on any of these fields?  Absolutely not.  Not even close.  But trust me, the next time you’re lying in bed with a bad bitch on a Friday night at 7:30 watching Jeopardy, she is going to be so impressed with the plethora of useless knowledge you possess, that she is going to have no other option but to swallow the kids.  After which you can send me a quick email, or text message thanking me.  Just don’t expect an immediate response, because I’ll (hopefully) be in the steam room at the gym with Dan, checking out his junk and talking about hoops and broads.  Speaking of hoops, here’s hoping the Celtics have enough in the tank to beat the Heat, but it doesn’t really matter who wins that series, because whoever advances is either going to get ran out of the gym by OKC or bitch slapped by San Antonio.  Oh, and speaking of broads, I got a date tonight with a pretty young (that’s pretty young as in two adjectives, not one) Korean chick.  She’s actually pretty funny, sports double D’s (right?), is about the nicest girl I’ve ever met, and kisses like a porn star.  Since I’m up against a word count though, I can’t tell you too much more about her, you’ll have to ask Dan the next time you see him.   Anyway, I gotta run.  Hang in there, I’ll be back in a couple of weeks…………

"Blog About It"

So I know I said that I was going to showcase my May Sponsors today...but I changed my mind and decided to hold off until later this week.
Instead I wanted to share this hilarious McDonald's commercial that I think all bloggers can appreciate!

Seriously fellow bloggers, let's admit it. We are ADDICTED to all forms of social media; it doesn't just stop at Blogger. Whether it's Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or one of our all time favorites, Pinterest...we just can't help but to document our lives and share with others all the things we find interesting!

I didn't really pay much attention to the commercial until my boyfriend said, "Hey! The McDonald's oatmeal commercial talked about "blogging about it."" I immediately told him that he was just trying to mess with me. Josh is always teasing me when I am taking pictures and asking me if I'm going to "Blog or Tweet about it." He supports my social media junkie ways, but he can't help but to give me a little grief over it! But sure enough, he was being serious about the commercial! I had to rewind it just to make sure haha :)

I get such a kick out of this commercial, so I just thought I would share it with you all!
I hope you're having a fab Tuesday!!

Love always,

Enjoying God's Creation :)

I'm back!
I am officially done with my Sophomore year of college, and I could not be any happier! Now I can spend a whole lot more time blogging, and I'm pretty happy about that too!
To kick off Summer, on Saturday Josh and I enjoyed the great outdoors and had an awesome day long date.
It was so much fun spending time together and enjoying God's creation::

"You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you."
Nehemiah 9:6

 “For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.”
Psalm 95: 3-5

We tried our hand at Kayaking!
It was such a fun experience and we had a blast. Here are a few pictures of our time Kayaking :)

Really excited about Kayaking!

Josh getting the hang of it!

Lovin' life. This picture makes me laugh because I think he looks like a BIG dork! Love that dork though :)

Now I'm kickin' back lovin' life on the water!

Then we stopped at a rock formation along the shore and had ourselves a little picnic :)

Oh ya know, just being a model...

Thanks for such an awesome date! Love you :)

After Kayaking for a few hours, we got cleaned up and had dinner at a restaurant that overlooked the same lake that we kayaked on. We had one GORGEOUS view from our table! I totally forgot to take a picture though! :(
Well you'll just have to trust me that we cleaned up well and looked fabulous while enjoying one yummy meal! ;)

Did you go on any fun dates this weekend!?
I hope you're all having a fabulous Monday :)

Much love,

Well hello there! Sorry I've been such a stranger!
Here's my explanation for being MIA
I'm a college student,
and this week was...

After this Friday, at approximately 8:30 am, I will be done with my last final and my life will start getting fun and interesting again!
But until then, this was about all that I had to blog about::

Studying for finals...
Really fascinating!

Packing Up my Room...

Literally, I can't think of anything else that I've done...I might have worked a couple days this week. Other then that, my life has been very busy and a huge bore!
BUT. I have a fun weekend and next few weeks ahead!
I'll be back with some great posts soon, including my May Sponsors :)

Have a great rest of your Thursday!

Much Love,

Six Cents.................

The Situation; Jose Bautista’s batting average is hovering around .200, and he’s not leading the league (or the team for that matter) in homeruns OR RBI’s.  The general consensus is, this is what you should be expecting from him, and the (not so) recent past was just a fluke.
My Ever Appreciated 2 Cents; Bautista is frustrated, nothing more nothing less.  And no, he’s not frustrated with the franchise leadership label or the mediocre play of the Jays thus far this season.  Nor is he frustrated with not living up to the big dollars he’s getting paid or the fact that his credibility is being called out.  What he is frustrated with is the fact that no one is going to pitch to him.  The pitchers in the American League have decided that, regardless of the scenario, they would much rather walk Jose Bautista then have him go yard on them.  So they are throwing him pure junk, repeatedly.  When you’re a big time hitter, as Jose is, and you’re not getting anything to hit, it’s hard god damn work to just sit there and let it happen, so he is going after pitches he would usually not go after.  Pitches that he would previously let go, whether they be balls or strikes, in the event that he will eventually get something decent thrown his way that he can gap or take deep.  The problem is those pitches never come.  But why?  I honestly believe that most of Major League Baseball (players I mean) do not like Jose, and do not want to see him shine.  The fact that he was a journey man turned superstar is something that us fans practically live for, but tends to cause a certain amount of chagrin to other “wanna be” MLB superstars in the making.  Not only future stars but current stars as well.  You don’t think guys like Prince Fielder or Albert Pujols’ are mad as hell at JoeyBats?  He signed a re-up extension with the Blue Jays for a paltry 64 million dollars (over 5 years) the season before Fielder and Pujols’ became free agents.  Both of whom honestly felt their services were worth about 300 million apiece.  You know when that was going on, they were anxiously awaiting the outcome, figuring that Bautista’s contract would set the market up nicely for them.  But 64 million was more than enough for our antagonist, and the moment his pen hit that paper, everyone knew the other two weren’t getting their “expected” incomes.  Prince went on to get 214 million over 10 years, and Pujols’ stunningly got 240 million over the same period (with incentives and such that could drive that number up to 270 over 20).  Those are just two examples of how Bautista just doesn’t “fit in” with the typical “Diva Mentality” of a superstar of our generation.  Here’s a few other facts that drive MLB players crazy about hero; although everyone and their grandmother insists that “he must be on something”, he is regularly tested (by regularly I mean monthly, if not more) and has never pissed anything but urine and vitamins.  He doesn’t only do ads for big name sponsors, he actually prefers to promote smaller, more local outfits like Booster Juice, which we all know don’t have the trillions of dollars to shell out on a face to sell their product.  And most importantly, ask yourself this question, when was the last time you opened the newspaper and read anything about Jose Bautista not directly related to baseball?  You probably haven’t ever.  He doesn’t get caught drinking and driving, he doesn’t have baby mama’s in every state the American League has a team in, and he doesn’t show up on radio and T.V. shows saying stupid shit he knows nothing about.  He plays baseball, and keeps to himself.  And that drives MLB players up the wall.  Other players may have to respect him, but they certainly don’t have to like him, and pitchers apparently don’t have to pitch to him either, and that will frustrate anyone, even a consummate professional like our favorite right fielder.  And as for the “this is what kind of player Jose is” argument, no it’s not.  You will say “sample size” and fluke, I will say 2.5 years is not a sample size it’s reality, and flukes aren’t consistent.  Bautista is both real and consistent, and I’ll throw legit in there just to make you mad.  By the All-Star break he will have this figured out, he will have a new plan of attack, and his numbers will level off.  If you have a farm, bet it, it’s easy money.

To Rim Or Not To Rim
Synopsis; Ever since I made the plunge into the Smart Phone world, I have been a loyal Blackberry user, but RIM sure as hell don’t make it easy for me to stay one.

My Always Dependable 2 Cents; I have been with RIM now for 37 months, and in that time I have gone through 3, count ‘em, 3 blackberry’s. Since I don’t want to fall under the old adage of “fool me three times, I may let you fool me a fourth”, I’m starting to shop around.  The only problem I’m having is finding a reason not to sell out and go Apple.  Between you, me and the ceiling fan it may actually happen though.  Samsung is making a valid sell on being my new best friend, based solely on the impression I’ve gotten from my Galaxy Tablet, which for the record is fucking amazing, but the IPhone, with all its idiosyncrasies, is time tested and true, so I don’t know yet.  But what is it about Blackberry that I’m continually frustrated with?  Well, the quicker question to answer is the alternative, why do I stay with them?  The one and only reason is simple, BBM.  BBM may in fact be the greatest instant messenger the internet has ever seen, and anyone that is on my BBM knows I take my position as a BBM member seriously.  I take pride in my deep knowledge and passion for vintage hip hop classic one liners when determining my daily status, and change my profile picture on average twice a day.  I will usually post a picture of a naked hottie I stole from twitter when I wake up in the afternoon, just to let everyone know I’m up, if they care (which they usually don’t), and then switch to a stock photo of me if I’m working that night, or a new picture of me currently if I’m on my day off (hence spawning the nickname “Mr. Self Shot”).  If I do switch companies, I will miss this ritual, and will probably have to switch to heroin just to get me through the withdrawal.  There’s also the simple fact that, for some reason or another woman are more apt to send naked pictures of themselves through this form of communication.  There’s absolutely no rhyme nor reason for this, but it is 100% true.  The best part about BBM though?  The fact that if you only have someone’s BBM pin for contact purposes, and you decide you can’t fucking stand them anymore, just delete, then block, and they have no way of ever bothering you again.  Gone are the days of receiving annoying text messages saying “I’m pregnant and I think you’re the father”, or everyone’s favorite, “the police want to talk to you because I’m actually only 15”.  You know what, after reassessing the situation, I may have to stick to Blackberry after all.  I may have to put up with the ridiculously stagnant web browser, the nefariously short battery life, and the rationale that a battery pull is a technical solution, just because I love my BBM so dearly.  What a tangled web indeed.
I Put Lamborghini Doors On That Escalade

What Happened; I was driving the bus the other night, and was parked at a red light.  An Escalade pulls up beside me and I have me a nice look.  Now, I’ve always liked the Escalade, but it has a secure place on the list of cars “Brad will probably never own in his life time”, but that doesn’t mean I can’t window shop, does it?  Anyways, as it pulls away, I see a Hybrid logo on the side…..

The 2 Cents You’ve Been Waiting For; I recently petitioned Webster’s online dictionary to include a picture of a guy riding a Vespa beside their definition of “douchebag”.  I would like to change my view, if it’s not too late.  A Hybrid Escalade?  I don’t even know where to begin with this one.  How about the fact that in my entire life I have only come across one thing stupider than a Hybrid SUV, that of course being the fact that the word phonetic isn’t spelled phonetically.  But a Hybrid Escalade?  Let’s look at some stats real quick; base price Escalade, 80 grand (probably the number one reason it’s on the “will not own list”), Hybrid version, 95 grand.  Ok, so 15 g’s to be environmentally friendly, but how much “friendly” does that get you?  Litres per 100 km for the regular Escalade, 15.3 city, and 10.1 highway.  Hybrid version, 10.5, and 8.9.  Congratulations nutsack, you just paid how much money to be considered a tree hugger, and the reality of it all is you get the same fuel rating that I get in my Pontiac, which by definition is a “gas guzzler”.  Before you go and get your soap box out and start yelling at me, let me state; I’m not trying to compare my car to these dope rides, because there is obviously no comparison. I’m just trying to make it clear here that you are not an environmentalist.  Not even close.  “Well, every little bit counts when it comes to the environment”.  Shut the fuck up, moron.  No one has ever bought an Escalade, and said, “Oh my, this thing is really heavy on the gas, I fear for the environment”.  If you buy an Escalade you’re doing it because you have way too much money to begin with, and obviously will have plenty left over to fill the tank every day and a half.   If you’re buying an Escalade Hybrid you’re doing it simply because you’re an idiot.  Why would they even make these in a Hybrid version?  To me the only vehicles that should qualify for Hybrid technology are vehicles that actually register a significant difference in fuel consumption from everything else that is on the road.  That way, the price of the technology is justified, and the Hybrid logo has a bit of credibility.  Taking something from say 9 or 10 litres per, down to 5 or 6 litres is doing something serious for the greater good of the planet. Taking something from 15 litres per to 10 is just fucking insulting.  I think everyone out there knows that I don’t really care either way about stuff like natural resources, or greenhouse gases, or for that matter, I don’t really care about anything at all, but there are a shit ton of people out there that do, and I have a hard time believing that ludicrous rationale like this somehow gets by, and no one but myself questions it.  Sometimes I really wish I had a little bit more ambition, I could seriously make some changes if I did. If I actually cared I could earnestly fix some of the world’s problems, and probably become a very wealthy man doing it.  Then maybe I could afford an Escalade.  “Hey, does this come in Hybrid?”
That’s my 6 cents.  I’ll see you guys in a couple of weeks.  Til then, hang in there……………………
